Seeking OPC Church Planter in York County, Pennsylvania

Since the fall of 2018 a group of like-minded believers and their families have been meeting regularly together for Bible Study, worship and fellowship and desire strongly to establish an Orthodox Presbyterian Church in York County that would see members come from York County, James City County, Williamsburg, Poquoson, Newport News, Hampton, Gloucester and Smithfield. We would love to be part of the Lord’s work on the Peninsula that seeks daily to live out our callings together.  We desire and yearn for a church with God-centered worship with faithful expository and applicatory preaching coupled with gracious shepherding of the flock.  We seek to have a positive personal presentation of the Reformed faith to the Christian community with sincere relational evangelistic outreach.

Peninsula Reformed Presbyterian Church (PRPC) brings a commitment to traditional Presbyterian confessional worship, strong preaching, and gospel outreach. Meeting these objectives means identifying and calling a church planter as soon as possible.

We have been overwhelmed by the Christ-like care and love that Lowell Ivey, Lacy Andrews, Andrew Miller, Pete Stazen, Steve Doe, and many others in the OPC have lavished upon us. We are grateful to our Redeemer for allowing us to join in the work the OPC is doing and have been immensely encouraged by being allowed to come alongside like-minded brothers and sisters.

We are looking to accomplish the following objectives.

•      God-centered worship

•      Faithful expository/applicatory preaching

•      Gracious shepherding of the flock

•      A positive personal presentation of the Reformed Faith

•      Sincere relational evangelistic outreach

•      Sending agency through the military community

If you or anyone you know is in agreement with what we are looking for and would like to learn more they may reach out to Lowell Ivey, Pastor of Reformation Presbyterian Church or Jake Hughes, member of the pastoral search committee for PRPC.
