A New Lecture Series
The Puritan Research Center Colloquia are new lecture series that support and encourage thoughtful discussions that deal with aspects of Puritanism and Continental (Post) Reformation thought, including historical intellectual trajectories and early modern context, from a variety of perspectives. Doctoral students and Faculty of PRTS, and other schools, will present their findings of original research.

Meet Dr. Stephen Myers
“Eternity, Orthodoxy, and Evangelism: The Emergence of the Covenant of Redemption in Post-Reformation Scottish Theology” / Dr. Stephen Myers.
Dr. Stephen Myers (PhD, University of Edinburgh) is Associate Professor of Historical Theology for the PhD program at Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary. He was reared in a Christian family and mercifully brought to faith at a young age. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (BA), Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi (MDiv), and the University of Edinburgh (PhD). Prior to his appointment at PRTS, Dr. Myers served as the pastor of Pressly Memorial Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church in Statesville, N.C. While in the full-time pastorate, Dr. Myers also served as a visiting professor of theology at RTS Charlotte and a professor at International Biblical Seminary in Kiev, Ukraine. Along with Scottish Federalism and Covenantalism in Transition: The Theology of Ebenezer Erskine, Dr. Myers is the author of several reviews, journal articles, and forthcoming publications.
