Junmo Yang

Doctoral Student in Biblical Studies

Junmo is a doctoral student in Biblical Studies at Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary. His research focuses on the Old Testament and Christian Ethics. He is interested in reading the book of Malachi through the lens of Character Ethics to disclose God’s moral vision for His people, focusing on the key phrase “Remembering the Law” in the conclusion of Malachi 4:4-6. He hopes this study will help modern Christians to live a pious life.

Before studying at PRTS, Junmo completed an MDiv at Baekseok Divinity School in Seoul Korea (2014), and a ThM at Calvin Theological Seminary in Grand Rapids (2017).

Junmo is an ordained pastor of the Presbyterian Church in Korea and has been married to his wife Kyoungsun Lee since 2013. They have three children (Heechan, Heeseung, and Heesuh).

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

2 Timothy 2:15
