Grand Rapids, MI / Mansfield, TX—Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary (“PRTS”) and IRBS Theological Seminary (“IRBSTS”) today announced a strategic partnership of the establishment of a collaborative Doctoral Program. This strategic partnership exemplifies the vision of the strengthening and sharing of resources in the service of the academy and church.

Students of IRBS can continue and complete their studies at IRBS and PRTS with an accredited PhD degree.

Joel R. Beeke, President of PRTS comments, “We trust that, by God’s grace, this newly established cooperative doctoral program, which stresses both solid Reformed academic training and vital piety, will serve the church and the academy in unprecedented ways, strengthening the Reformed and ARBCA and Reformed Baptist community worldwide.”

The Institute of Reformed Baptist Studies was founded in Escondido, Ca in 1998, and has recently advanced into a stand-alone seminary known as IRBS Theological Seminary located in Mansfield, Texas. It seeks to train ministers for Gospel service in Baptist Churches around the world.

Founded in 1995, Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary is an accredited educational institution for granting the MA, MDiv, ThM, and PhD degrees. Its mission is to prepare students worldwide to serve Christ and His church through biblical, Reformed, experiential, and practical ministry. The seminary numbers close to 150 students, has ten professors, twenty globally renowned scholars as adjunct faculty, and a support staff of twelve.
